Visitor Information Centre: Progress Reports |
|
27 March 2006 - Week 9 - Grand Finale In late January, the VIC reached lockup stage after nine weeks of building. A fit out of the interior then commenced in February, which was completed in time for a Pre-Opening Launch for the Centre's sponsors and the City's dignitaries.
The launch, held on March 24, saw the official unveiling of the sponsor plaques, and the formal handing over of the keys, to the Mayor of Penrith.
Sixty seven sponsors supported this vital piece of infrastructure, which is expected to open in April, following the installation of a wheelchair access ramp.
